About the Author
Olivier Cotte worked as an animation and computer artist for movies, and as a animation director between 1987 and 2002. He is a journalist, historian and animation teacher. He studied in fine art school and at the Sorbone and started making his first films at the age of fourteen. He collaborates as a journalist on numerous film animation and new digital tools magazines. He has written nine books on animation, of which one is a technical and historic world encyclopedia of animation "Il �tait une fois le dessin anim�” (Once Upon A Time.in Animation - 2001), two monographs about animation directors (David Ehrlich, Georges Schwizgebel) and has also translated a book on animation methods "The Animator's Survival Kit” by Richard Williams into French. He also works with international animation festivals and major events in animation as a selection jury member and jury member and lecturer on animation history and teaches in several animation schools in France and around the world.

Compelling

Hanstedt's writing style makes compelling use of the first person perspective. The frank candor of his character, Bueren, helps one to relate to the character, even if his values are less than laudable at times, and the voice Hanstedt uses draws his reader in, always curious to see what Bueren says or thinks about his situation.

The plot is interesting, and most of the book is a page-turner. The combination of mystery and action is captivating. The technological/philosophical foundation of the secret organization Bueren finds himself working for is refreshingly original and appealing to artists of the various mediums. It causes one to think about the balance of the maths and sciences that lead to our technological progress and the various art forms that add value to our lives. It will be interesting to see what other works this artist will produce as he progresses as a writer.

Ran into the author in Afghanistan a few months ago. After the book came up during a particularly loathsome lunch, I figured I would read it and contribute fifty cents to his economic well being. I was pleasantly surprised. Hadn't ever read anything combining art history, car chases and dames in short skirts.

If anything, read this book!

This book is certainly a MUST-READ book for EVERYONE - for those who think about saving some money for old age, or for serious investors. Not only it is written in a plain and understandable language, it is rather funny too. But the content... Not funny at all! I was horrified to learn what is going on in financial industry, and how they steal our money right out of our pocket. Yes, I was fooled too, and as author I'm still paying for the decision to place my trust in financial industry. But how could I know better? Nobody taught me these things.

Up to now, that is. This book is exposing the ugly game financial industry is playing with us and our money. It teaches us how to prevent financial headaches, but it goes even further. It gives you tools to win the financial game of life. Surely I will use them.

I'm amazed about his decision to help the world learn about investing in this Million dollar decision book. One of the best things I like in the book is authors transparency and honesty about reality that is happening in the financial industry. Poorly formatted, even for a self published book. ...

Poorly formatted, even for a self published book. It has really wide margins along the edges (limiting the size of the boxes) and then the available space to draw the comic is limited by the binding. Much of the boxing occurs where the bend is at the seam, making it hard (especially for kids) to draw in that space. Fixing the margin could have prevented this issue. Will not buy again.
